Himalayan Airlines Revises Colombo Flights

Himalayan Airlines has announced revision on its flights to Colombo effective from January 21 till April 4.
A statement by the airlines stated its Airbus A320 (H9 673) will now fly from Tribhuvan International Airport at 4 pm and land at Bandaranaike International Airport at 7:30 pm. The same aircraft will fly back to Kathmandu after an hour at 8:30 pm and land in TIA at 11:45 midnight.
Vijay Shrestha, airlines administration's Vice president, said the flights had to be rescheduled due to the ongoing maintenance work on the runway in Bandaranaike Airport, Colombo. The airport remains closed from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm every day until April 6 for maintenance on the runway, said Shrestha.

The airline operates two flights a week on Tuesday and Saturday to Colombo with its 158-seater Airbus A320.
The airlines began commercial flights between Kathmandu and Colombo on October 1, 2016, re-establishing direct air links with Sri Lanka after more than three decades.
